- Definitely do not be bullied!! I had *three* bad quantums
- before I gave up and purchased a Seagate ST51080 (which some
- people have had trouble with). I had problems with the drive
- spinning down after random amounts of time, I had problems
- with it hanging the SCSI bus, and I had one that didn't spin
- up at all. I thought I just had some bad apples... Your
- average home/family computer store has no idea about the
- delicacies of SCSI function (and neither do I), as another
- poster pointed out, and they definitely have no clue
- whatsoever about the interests of a workstation or high
- performance computer user! Buy from them as a last resort, or
- take your business to more qualified but probably no more
- expensive people who know what they're doing...
